UW-Green Bay’s Katie L. Turkiewicz is joining the WiSys Campus Champion program in 2019 and 2020.
Student teams are set to compete in the third annual WiSys Innovation in Aging student idea competition.
The competition brings teams of students from across the state to pitch innovative business ideas.
“We are excited to welcome Craig to the WiSys team. His background in journalism and experience with social media and podcasts will bring new energy to WiSys’ communications and outreach,” said WiSys President Arjun Sanga.
Nearly 250 University of Wisconsin innovators came together at UW-Parkside for the 11th annual WSTS, a two-day symposium aimed at sparking collaboration between faculty, staff, students and industry partners across the state.
Following a year of unprecedented innovation and research activity across the UW System, WiSys chose two innovators to receive the Carl E. Gulbrandsen Innovator of the Year award: UW-Green Bay student Sam Hunt and UW-Platteville Assistant Professor Dr. Gokul Gopalakrishnan.
WiSys welcomes Brian Walsh as new Regional Associate for northeastern University of Wisconsin comprehensive campuses
Following the conclusion of a 15-month assignment as a Biotechnology Commercialization Specialist at a research center in Guadalajara, Mexico, Brian Walsh will be the newest addition to the WiSys staff as the Regional Associate for northeastern Wisconsin campuses.
During a 2017 study that was carried out by the Great Waters Research Collaborative (GWRC), five species of non-indigenous zooplankton were discovered in western Lake Superior in laker ballast water discharge.
