WiSys signs deal with gener8tor to bring startup support to UW faculty, staff, students and alumni

WiSys has partnered with gener8tor to provide a free accelerator program to startups in Northeast Wisconsin. Other major partners of this program include Microsoft, the UW Oshkosh Business Success Center, Venture Center at Fox Valley Technical College, UW-Green Bay Cofrin School of Business and the Greater Oshkosh Economic Development Corporation.

The program, gBETA, will provide one-on-one coaching to 10 startups each year and will be modeled after gener8tor’s nationally ranked accelerator program.

“The gBETA program has already been very successful in places like Madison and Milwaukee, and we’re excited to help take that success statewide,” WiSys president Arjun Sanga said. “There is a diverse and energized network of entrepreneurs in Northeast Wisconsin who could benefit greatly from this program.”

gBETA participants gain individualized coaching and mentorship throughout the program, as well as access to a national network of mentors, potential customers, corporate partners and investors. The free accelerator is open to early-stage startups across all industries and business models, but participants must have ties to northeastern Wisconsin.
