WiSys SPARK Symposium 2021 Virtual Series

In place of WiSys’ popular summer in-person symposium—which honors research, innovation and entrepreneurship in the UW System—WiSys will present a series of virtual events for students, faculty and staff this summer. You don’t have to be in-person to spark ideas and collaborations. 

Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament

Thursday, May 20  |  4–5:30 p.m.
UW System students present their startup business ideas with a statewide audience of entrepreneurs, business leaders and the public. In addition to competing for seed funding and additional support to grow their ideas, the students receive mentorship and entrepreneurship training to help them launch their careers as well as their businesses.  >> MORE

WiSys Quick Pitch State Final

Wednesday, May 26  |  45:30 p.m.
Student researchers from across the UW System race the clock to effectively communicate their complicated research in terms understandable to a general audience in three minutes or less. The best presenter will receive a cash prize and the title of WiSys Quick Pitch State Champion. >> MORE
