In place of WiSys’ popular summer in-person symposium—which honors research, innovation and entrepreneurship in the UW System—WiSys will present a series of virtual events for students, faculty and staff this summer. You don’t have to be in-person to spark ideas and collaborations.
Career Perspectives for Students
Deciding what to do after your four years in undergraduate school isn’t easy. In this conversation, meant for current or recently graduated university students, a panel of successful leaders will open up about their career journeys.
In this virtual event, UW System students will share interesting and varied research projects and innovations. The UW System is a national leader in undergraduate research and a hotbed of innovation, which contributes to the state’s priorities, including retention, graduate rates, workforce and economic development. In addition to developing their presentation skills, students will compete for cash prizes and recognition.
This session focuses on the state’s new Dairy Innovation Hub, which harnesses research and development at UW–Madison, UW–Platteville and UW–River Falls to keep Wisconsin’s $45.6 billion dairy industry at the global forefront in producing dairy products.
In this virtual event—designed specifically for those interested in graduate or professional school—a panel of experts will discuss the application process and life as a student at the next level. Students are encouraged to bring questions for this supportive conversation.
