This past summer UW-Green Bay student, Cameron Curry, participated in an intensive three week program at the European Innovation Academy in Turin, Italy. The Academy's central focus for the program was creating new apps based on the teams' personal interests. At the Academy, Curry was a part of a team who developed an app that allowed for world-wide news to be funneled into the app's feed, and then rated by readers based on how bias the piece was. The problem Curry was attempting to solve was the issue of "Fake News," and in doing so, not only found a solution to the problem, but he also extracted an abundance of new knowledge regarding all things business.
