UW-Green Bay professors published in acclaimed science journal

UW-Green Bay professors Amy Wolf and Bob Howe had their research on the contributions of large-diameter trees to biomass, stand structure, and species richness across a wide range of global forest biomes published in the Global Ecology and Biogeography Journal. Their research was focused on the potential for large-mass trees to act as immense controls on global forest carbon cycling. The professors also co-authored an article for which they received the British Ecology Society's Harper Prize for the best paper in the prestigious Journal of Ecology by an early career scientist.
