Team VetNex wins 2017 Innovation Challenge held at UW-River Falls

The winner of the 3rd annual Innovation Challenge held at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls is Team Vetnex. The competition, held March 2nd, was designed to help undergrad and graduate students explore the possibility of turning their business ideas into a reality, saw three teams compete for the prize of $6,000. This year's competition was sponsored in part by WiSys Technology Foundation, along with AGS Data Systems and the UW-River Falls Small Business Development Center.

Team VetNex, MBA students David and Jennifer Till, won the Innovation Challenge with their idea of VetNex, a software to aid veterans in disability claims processing. As the winner, VetNex automatically qualifies to compete in the 2017 Wisconsin Big Idea Tournament, an entrepreneurship competition to be held on April 22nd in Madison, Wisconsin. There they will have the chance to compete for the top prize of $27,000 along with paid travel to Silicon Valley, CA, to present their idea on the world stage at the 2017 International Business Model Competition to be held in May.
