A grassroots fundraising effort is underway among Wisconsin's cranberry growers to create a cranberry-focused agricultural research station in the state.The group of dedicated growers has raised more than $500,000 toward their goal of $750,000-- a goal the Wisconsin State Cranberry Industry is confident in surpassing.
The location of the facility has not been finalized, as promoters are searching for the proper place to construct: about 50 acres on or adjacent to an existing marsh.
