Restructuring of UW campuses bolsters education opportunities

UW System President Ray Cross stated that he will propose a UW College-UW four year institutions merge before the Board of Regents in November; Cross is introducing this proposal in hopes of expanding education opportunities in a time where there are dramatic declines in demographics at UW schools. In integrating the various 13 two-year institutions into the four-year institutions state wide, Cross's goal is to amplify access and fortify educational opportunities across the state.
