WiSys manages several research and development grant programs. Look below for a summary of the various grant programs we currently offer. Click on the links for more detailed information on the specific funding opportunities.

ARG, AR-WiTAG & PDF

• Funding for Applied Research in the UW System
• ARG and AR-WiTAG funding provided for one year, up to $50,000. PDF funding provided for one year, up to $15,000.
• ARG and AR-WiTAG pre-proposals due November 9, 2012.
• ARG full proposals due January 14, 2013.
• AR-WiTAG full proposals due January 14, 2013 and July 1, 2013.
• PDF proposals due November 9, 2012, February 15, 2013, August 16, 2013, November 8, 2013 and February 14, 2014.

Reassignment Time Grant

• Reassignment from teaching a course or for summer salary support for extramural grant application development
• Funding level is $3,500; extramural funding opportunity must be greater than $50,000
• Applications accepted throughout fiscal year, or until funds are depleted

WiSCAP

• Born out of C.O.R.E. Jobs Act passed by Wisconsin Legislature
• Limited to faculty researchers working in conjunction with small Wisconsin businesses
• Applications accepted throughout fiscal year, or until funds are depleted

WisMEF

• Newest WiSys grant program, leveraging unique skills and resources available at Wisconsin clinical institutions to develop cutting-edge medical technologies
• Applications accepted from all areas relating to fostering medical technology development
• No submission timeframe, applications always welcome

WiTAG

• Funding available for applied research when Intellectual Property is assigned to WiSys, maximum three years of support
• Funding varies greatly depending on project scope
• No submission timeframe, applications always welcome
