Providing financial assistance for prototype development to advance the licensing and marketing of discoveries
WiSys has access to prototype development funds (PDF) to develop prototypes of inventions. In order to be eligible, the invention must be disclosed to WiSys and WiSys must agree to market the technology. Prototypes can greatly enhance marketability of technologies. After reviewing the grant application, WiSys makes a recommendation to the System administration to fund the development. Currently PDF grants are limited to $15,000 or less.
