My name is Katie Schulteis and I am from West Bend Wisconsin. I graduated from UW-Platteville in spring 2017 with a Bachelor of Science Majoring in Biology with a focus in Molecular Genetics. After graduation I will be moving to Middleton, Wisconsin, where I accepted a full time job at PPD (Pharmaceutical Product Development) in their Biopharmaceutical department, and will be going to Madison Technical College for their Stem Cell Technologies Certificate. As a WiSys Ambassador, I learned the importance of protecting my intellectual property and how public disclosures can affect my patentability in the future.
