Student Campus Ambassadors | UW-Platteville
Hi there everyone. I graduated spring of 2017 with a degree from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Power and Energy as well as Control Systems. After graduation I will be working for Alliant Energy as a Substation Engineer.
Being an Ambassador for WiSys Technology Foundation the past for the past two years has really opened my eyes to all the talented individuals with great ideas on my campus. If it were not for this program I wouldn't have met so many bright minds outside of my own department which has been an amazing experience. This program has also allowed open collaboration with my outstanding fellow Ambassadors and our regional representative Tony Hanson to launch the UW-Platteville Prototype Hackathon for the past two years. This event has been very successful in bringing together students from all backgrounds to produce a working prototype and construct a presentation to show the need for their product. Being able to provide an event like this for the inventors on campus has been an amazing experience and have made it all worth while. I have truly enjoyed working with WiSys and I am very thankful for the opportunity I was given.
